Message from Rector, Bhaderwah Campus

Bhaderwah Campus, University of Jammu is determined for accomplishing global -distinction in teaching, research and extension besides contributing to the socio economic development of the region since its inception in 2006. Imparting quality education to the students, promoting their all-round development by participation in sports, extracurricular activities and youth festivals and other socially relevant activities has been the major objective of this campus and since efforts are being made by the University of Jammu to promote and enhance its academic growth and visibility. Promotion, Preservation, Integration and Sustainable Development of the cultural diversity of the region popularly known as "Mini Kashmir" is high on the agenda and consequent community development would always be top priority for the progress of this campus.

Bhaderwah campus will attempt to be an institution of excellence in higher education that will continuously respond to changing social realities through the formation and application of knowledge, contribute towards student centric holistic development and just society that nurtures innovation, protects pride and ensures impartiality.

At present the campus offers four postgraduate master degree programmes viz. MCA, MBA, MA(English), MA(Geography) and three undergraduate courses viz., B.Ed, BBA, B.Com(Hons.) besides hosting an institute of mountaineering environment for research activities on mountains to meet the demand and aspirations of the people living in these areas. I further endeavour to introduce new job oriented skill programmes that are in sync with emerging national and global trends as well as relevant to the regional and local needs shortly besides updating all existing courses in line of NEP 2020. Hope to give an enriching, vibrant and a contemporary learning experience to the students, by keeping pace with the dynamic environment in which we operate. We would encourage practices and policies that support healthy student activities which help to create an environment where learning takes place both in and out of the campus.
